Since 1986, our Flagship program has convened leaders from various sectors to enhance their knowledge of local and state issues while inspiring them to drive positive change within their communities.
The Class of 2025 gains insights into government operations and the effects of state-level policies at the State Capitol.

Flagship Program Pillars
Civic Understanding: Understand the various sectors that exist and their impact on the greater region. Hear from elected officials and subject matter experts on regional assets, issues and opportunities.
Relationship Building: Connect with classmates and leaders from diverse sectors and life experiences while building trust and support that leads to a vibrant community culture.
Collaborative Leadership: Work together to pool resources, knowledge, and skills, maximizing the community’s capacity to address challenges and seize opportunities.
Civic Readiness: Actively participate in civic life as informed, engaged citizens. Exhibit behaviors necessary to contribute to the community, both locally and globally.
Flagship Program Highlights
- Program Duration: September – May
- Nine unique program days including several evening session
- Our goal is to assemble individuals that represent various industries and backgrounds that live or work in Perimeter region.
- A maximum of 46 participants are selected to encourage relationship building
- Community mentors are assigned to each class member
- Tuition Cost: $3,950. A limited amount of need-based tuition assistance is available through our generous donors
Our Ideal Candidate
Our goal is to assemble individuals that represent various industries and backgrounds in the Perimeter region. Within our cohorts, you’ll find leaders from sectors like corporate, government, nonprofit, healthcare, education, public safety, faith-based, arts & culture, retirees and more. Here are some key characteristics that define an ideal candidate:
- Civically engaged community members who are actively seeking ways to make an impact
- Established leaders who are looking to get involved within their communities and expand their networks at a deeper level
- Open-minded and curious individuals who are eager to learn about community systems, policies and perspectives that may differ from their own
- Those seeking to build relationships and collaborate with others equally committed to the community
Nominate for Class of 2027
Alumni are encouraged to nominate leaders within their networks whom they believe to be excellent candidates for our program. Nominations are also accepted from community organizations and businesses. This nomination is very helpful in the selection process.
