History

In 1987, the Sandy Springs Civic Roundtable (SSCRT) was formed. In 2013, at the request of SSCRT’s Board, the Leadership Sandy Springs Board of Trustees agreed to establish SSCRT as one of its core programs. Leadership Perimeter continues to support SSCRT’s mission.

Mission

SSCRT’s mission is to provide an opportunity for non-profit leaders in Sandy Springs to come together to help build community and strengthen the non-profit sector to meet the needs of Sandy Springs citizens. SSCRT strives to:

  • Share/Communicate objectives, activities and events of the individual member organizations and promote collaboration of all Sandy Springs nonprofits
  • Communicate and encourage development of new opportunities and strategies
  • Provide information and help develop leaders in our non-profit sector
  • Pursue major grant opportunities for relevant services and/or resources from outside our community

    Membership

    Membership to the SSCRT is available to non-profit organizations that meet the following criteria:

    • Must be located in Sandy Springs and provide a substantial portion of their services to residents of Sandy Springs
    • Must be registered with the IRS as a 501(c)3 in good standing
    • Must have been registered with the State of Georgia as a domestic non-profit corporation for at least two years
    • Must have an active Board of Directors

      Springboard

      Springboard was collaboratively created by the Sandy Springs Civic Roundtable (SSCRT), City of Sandy Springs, and Georgia Tech public policy students researching this project of the need for an online network hub for its nonprofit members.
